SCOPE:

In accordance with the provisions of Texas Government Code §2156.063, Solicitation of Bids, Texas Government Code §2165.001, Custodianship of State Property and the Rules and Procedures by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC), TFC is seeking bids to renovate the indoor Leroy Colombo Swim Center at the Texas School for the Deaf located at 1102 South Congress Ave., Austin, Texas 78704.

CONTRACT TERM:

This service shall be completed no later than December 31, 2023.

 STATEMENT OF WORK:

Provide all materials, equipment, labor, coordination, and supervisory activities necessary to perform and complete all work required in connection with the renovation project. The services are to be performed in a substantial, complete, and professional manner in accordance with the Texas Department of Health Standards for Swimming Pools and Spas Stipulations for Class A pools (any pool used, with or without a fee, for accredited competitive aquatic events) industry standards, as required by and in strict conformity with the current health regulations under the State of Texas Health Department (www.dshs.texas.gov/public-swimming-pools-spas/laws-rules-public-swimming-pools-spas).

POOL SPECIFICATIONS:

Contractor shall verify all replacement hardware, materials and equipment required for project. Contractor must take independent measures and is responsible for the measurements and verifying the approximate square footage of work being performed.

PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS:

1.     Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of existing plaster, racing lane markers and target tile and break tile floor and walls of the pool.

2.     Contractor shall remove ramp handrail located in the wading pool prior to plastering and replace after plastering.

3.     Contractor shall clean pool area and thoroughly pressure wash and seal around all fittings before installation or application of any new material, including painting, fittings, light niches, main drains or other pool hardware.

4.     Contractor shall provide and replace plaster and apply bond coating to pool shell.

5.     Contractor shall provide and replace twenty (20) directional eyeballs, eighteen (18) underwater lights and two (2) main drains with anti-entrapment hardware.

6.     Contractor shall provide and install mortar, thin set code compliant racing lanes, target and floor break line (break point) tiles with QuartzScapes Reflection Series Super Blue tile.
