Solicitation Description:

The State Preservation Board (SPB) has a unique and diverse mission to preserve, maintain, and restore the historic properties entrusted to its care. The quality of service is evident to occupants and those who visit the historic spaces in the Capitol and Grounds, Texas State Cemetery, Governor's Mansion and Bullock State History Museum. Day-to-day operations range from daily housekeeping, maintenance and groundskeeping to curating and preserving over 4,000 historic artifacts in its collection and on loan.

The selected Contractor(s) shall provide complete renovation of the catering kitchen at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum which has been cleared for construction per the Project Plan in Attachment A.  The renovations will convert the catering kitchen into a Mother’s Room at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.  The selected contractor shall complete a remodel of the space to all current construction codes and requirements along with all listed finishes and utilities as listed in the attached solicitation.

The solicitation process for this RFP will proceed according to the following schedule: These dates represent a tentative schedule of events. SPB reserves the right to change the dates in the schedule of events above upon written notification to prospective Respondents through a posting on the Electronic State Business Daily as an Addendum.

 REVISIONS TO SCHEDULE

SPB reserves the right to change the dates in the Schedule of Events above upon written notification to prospective Respondent(s) as an addendum posted on the Electronic State Business Daily.

A.     Submittals: Respondent must submit an original electronic copy of the SOQ as follows:

1)        One (1) complete ORIGINAL SOQ in Portable Document Format (PDF) submitted through email to Spb.bids@tspb.texas.gov with a copy to Sherry.Thompson@SPB.texas.gov

2)        SOQ pages should be numbered and contain an organized, paginated table of contents corresponding to the section and pages of the SOQ. File size is limited to 100MB for email submissions.

3)        Proposals must be clearly marked RESPONSE TO RFP 809-24-0001

and delivered electronically to the address noted in the RFP.

 B.      Contents: Respondent must submit all information listed below, in the order given, as the response to this RFP. The response will only be considered if all items are submitted as required. Incomplete/late responses to this RFP will not be considered.

1.      Item 1: Signed/dated Execution of Response to the Request for Proposals

2.      Item 2: Company Profile Summary and History, (two (2) pages maximum)

Response should include the following:

a.                   Company name, address, phone number, website, and legal status (corporation, partnership, joint venture, sole proprietorship).

b.                  Name and title of person submitting the proposal with the authority to bind the company.

c.                   Name, phone number, and email address of contact person for any questions on the proposal.

d.                  Describe the general nature of previous work, the number of years in business, size, and scope of operation. Include any accreditation obtained with any industry professional organizations or licensure.

3.      Item 3: Resumes of Individuals - Submit resumes for each individual (two (2) pages maximum per individual) who will work on this project.

4.      Item 4: Historically Underutilized Businesses subcontracting plan.

5.      Item 5: Name(s) and last four digits of Social Security Number(s) of each person with at least 25 Percent Ownership of the Business Entity Submitting the RFP

6.      Item 6: Portfolio of relevant experience

Describe the nature and provide the years and breadth of experience in the business of general construction and/or remodeling for a minimum of five (5) years within the past five (5) years, services similar in type and quantity to those listed herein.

In addition, provide a description and evidence of how Respondent will deliver the requirements specified in the Scope of Work.

Respondent must also provide examples and details of past experiences that are similar in nature to the services requested, including a description of services provided. This section is limited to ten (10) total pages (Content Item No. 6).
