Solicitation Description:
The Texas Historical Commission (THC) issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified firms to design, furnish and install a fire detection and alarm system for three buildings on the campus of the Charles and Mary Ann Goodnight Ranch State Historic Site. Refer to Section II for detailed scope requirements. THC reserves the right to award this solicitation based on best value according to TGC 2155.074(b), as determined by THC, with consideration given to bids that best meet the desired scope of work and specifications set forth in this invitation for bids. All work performed must be in compliance with existing federal, state and local codes, statues and requirements. Successful Bidder shall comply with insurance requirements dictated within the Contract, Exhibit E. The Texas Historical Commission (THC) issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified firms to design, furnish and install a fire detection and alarm system for three buildings on the campus of the Goodnight Ranch State Historic Site. The Goodnight Ranch State Historic Site is located in the Texas Panhandle about 45 miles southeast of Amarillo in Goodnight, Texas. The site includes an 1887 Queen Anne-style ranch house, a contemporary Visitor Center, and the “Cattalo Building,” which is a historic structure that has been extensively modernized for office use. The selected vendor shall perform the following services: · Provide and install a code-compliant wireless Notifier system with a fire alarm control panel, addressable smoke detectors, pull stations and horn strobes in each of the three buildings listed above. · At the historic Ranch House, work with the Owner to locate devices to both meet code requirements and minimize the visual impact on the historic interior. · All three buildings are to be monitored under a single contract. Bid must include all equipment and labor necessary to complete the project as described. Warranty: Upon final acceptance of the Work by the Owner, the Contractor shall furnish the Owner with the maximum available manufacturer’s warranty on all installed products and a one-year warranty on the work. Location of work site: Charles & Mary Ann Goodnight Ranch State Historic Site, 4989 CR 25, Goodnight, TX 79226. MANDATORY SITE VISIT. A site visit is required before a bid can be submitted. Respondents must meet with the site manager and become thoroughly familiar with the existing conditions and requirements before submitting a bid. Signatures are required by the site representative and respondent when the site visit is completed to establish the date that the site visit took place. Exhibit F, Site Visit Form, must be included in Respondent’s Bid. Bids will be rejected if a signed site visit form is not included. The site location is noted above. All inquiries must be submitted in writing by the date listed as the deadline for submission of questions as specified in Section 3.1. Verbal inquiries and responses will not be valid or binding.
