Solicitation Description:

SCOPE: In accordance with the provisions of Texas Government Code §2156.063, Solicitation of Bids, Texas Government Code §2165.001, Custodianship of State Property and the Rules and Procedures adopted by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC), TFC is seeking bids to restore the athletic facility’s track, jump pits, tennis and pickleball courts at the Texas School for the Deaf, Gamblin Football Field, located at 1102 South Congress Ave., Austin, Texas 78704.

STATEMENT OF WORK: Provide all materials, equipment, labor, coordination, and supervisory activities necessary to perform and complete all work required in connection with the following at the Texas School for the Deaf’s athletic facilities.  

1. 400 Meter Running Track Resurface:
1. Remove and dispose of existing track surface.
2. Repair cracks, holes and other damaged areas of existing asphalt.
3. Remove grass and vegetation inside and outside perimeter of the concrete curbs.
4. Curbs must be smooth, level and equal in height to track surface.
5. Install new track surface.
6. Paint all stripes, exchange zones, start / finish lines around the track.

 

2. Long and Triple Jump Pits Installation:
1. Remove and dispose of existing jump pit asphalt and sand boxes, grass or other materials associated with the removal and installation of jump pits.
2. After removal of jump pits, replace area with grass.
3. Build one (1) long jump pit and one (1) triple jump pit including the runway, take-off board and measurement board for each pit at the south end of the track.

3. Tennis Courts:
1. Prepare four (4) court surfaces for new court surfacing by high pressure power washing the court surface, remove mold, loose aggregate and identify low areas.
2. Repair cracks, holes and other damaged areas on the tennis courts.
3. After repairs have been made, ensure the courts are level and address any unevenness with additional repairs.
4. Repaint all baselines, center mark, sidelines, service lines and service boxes for all courts.

4. Pickleball Courts:
1. Paint stripes for three (3) pickleball courts on each of the back courts for a total of six (6) pickle ball courts.
