Solicitation Description:
1) SCOPE: Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 2165.001, Custodianship of State Property, and Section 2156.121, Use of Competitive Sealed Proposals, the Texas Facilities Commission is requesting responses for the provision of various electrical trade services to include: repairs, maintenance, remodels and construction services in various facilities managed by the Texas Facilities Commission located in Texas. The majority of services will be in Austin, TX. a) Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and applicable permits required to perform these services. Typical services shall include, but not be limited to: i) Assemble, build, construct, demo, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand and/or power tools. ii) Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. iii) Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting of heavy objects. iv) Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, locate the cause of electrical breakdowns and correct the problem. v) Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes. vi) Connect wires to motors, drives, circuit breakers, transformers, buss duct, or other components. vii) Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. viii) Install Buss duct, switchgear and other low/medium voltage circuit components. ix) Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. x) Electrical service will be available as-needed on an on-call basis. Emergency work may include troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures, laying temporary cabling and/or wiring, replacement of electrical equipment and/or components, working on low and medium voltage and assisting other contractors as necessary to remedy an emergency. b) There is no guarantee of assigned work or volume of work under this Contract. c) See Attachment A – Services Contract for more detailed information. CONTRACT TERM: This service shall be for a period beginning on the date the contract, as defined below, is executed by both parties, and shall expire on August 31, 2022. The contract may be renewed for one (1) additional two (2) year period, provided the renewal is executed prior to expiration of the current contract term. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: TFC reserves the right to change the dates in the Schedule of Events set forth below upon written notification to prospective Respondents through a posting of an addendum on the ESBD.
