Solicitation Description:

The Texas Historical Commission (THC) issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified contractors that are able to provide services and equipment related UV lights and controller and all necessary trades to install and make operational onsite at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site. 

Each bidder must visit the site to assess the project conditions prior to submitting a bid. Refer to paragraph 3.3 for details. 

The project requires: 

Removal and replacement (with new) of the existing UV light banks and light bank controller, to include the following: 

  • • New control cabinet stainless steel 
  • • Controls – Two system Manual/Auto/Off switches (one per channel or two modules) 
  • • Controls – Single hour meter / resettable 
  • • Cooling – fans in cabinet only 
  • • Wiring – set to main customer supply through main breaker 
  • • Connections – Modules will have a quick disconnect to the control panel through SO Cord. 
  • • UV Lamps 
  • • Quartz Sleeves 
  • • O-rings 


Bid must include all equipment necessary, and all labor to deliver, install, program, start-up, and train site staff on use. Any permitting required is the responsibility of the bidder as is the requirement to work in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA and SORM guidelines including the use of proper PPE. 

As-builts, technical manuals, product specifications, warranties on equipment and installation, etc. must be provided to site staff upon completion of project.
