Solicitation Description:


The purpose of the Texas Youth Robotics Initiative is to encourage interest in STEM careers by expanding statewide participation in robotics programs in grades nine (9) through twelve (12) by: 1) developing New Team(s) for robotics education competitions, and 2) supporting existing competitive robotics education teams (teams that have competed in a competitive high school robotics competition before).

Successful Applicants may support New Teams in robotics education or a combination of new and existing teams; however, it is a requirement that at least half of the funding requested through this RFA be used to develop and support New Teams. Additionally, successful Applicants shall conduct outreach to students with Disabilities in all efforts to create New Teams and will conduct a New Competition that is specifically targeted to students with Disabilities.
